Spread Love it’s the Brooklyn Way.
So I finally got a chance to hit up one of New York’s newest hot spots Brooklyn Chop House.
I first heard about this restaurant the way we hear about everything else these days, via Instagram of course.LOL
Growing up in Brooklyn’s 90’s hip hop culture I often heard the name “Don Pooh”.
Robert “Don Pooh” Cummings worked closely with artist like Mary J. Bilge, Foxy Brown and other music executives like Sean “P- Diddy” Combs.
According to a New York Post article Cummings and rapper Biggie Smalls were close friends. This is evident as the influences of Biggie can be seen throughout the restaurant.
“Don Pooh” along with Co-Founder, Stratis Morfogen opened Brooklyn Chop House in the financial district, back in October of 2018.
When you first walk into this dimly lit restaurant it gives off an elegant feel with white table cloths and leather seating.
We arrived a little before our 7 o’clock reservation so we decided to sit at the bar for a quick drink. We were happy to hear that “Happy Days” was still going on.

After a few sips of our “Happy Days” Cocktail, our table was finally ready.
The menu at Brooklyn Chophouse is very extensive with choices to satisfy any palette as well as any dietary lifestyle.
My girlfriend and I both have a few dietary restrictions but given the restaurants vast menu,we had many options to choose from.
Their appetizer list alone could make your head spin. With selections like Homemade Noodles, Mayo Prawns and Peking Duck Tacos.
But after a quick pow wow we decided to go with one of their signature Dumplings. We were torn between the shrimp and the plant based.
We finally landed on “The Impossible”
We were pleasantly surprised with the real burger taste of this dumpling. The Dumplings were paired with a dipping sauce.
For dinner our waiter had advised that the portions were pretty big. For that reason we decided to order a few dishes and share them.
Their Vegetable Fried Rice was actually our favorite dish of the meal.
At the end of dinner we were stuffed, therefore we skipped dessert. All in all, we had a pretty good dining experience at Brooklyn Chophouse.
